Aftermath
Serious casualties resulted from the Battle of Stalingrad. The deaths were not well documented and estimates vary. The estimated death toll is generally accepted to be between one and two million. Some Soviets have deemed it the largest death count in any battle in human history. Though this statement may be exaggerated, the bloodshed is still astounding.
